Taking place from 22nd till 23rd May, the event is being organised by the EUATC’s Portuguese member, APET – Associação Portuguesa Empresas de Tradução supported by EUATC and with the active collaboration from Nordic Translation & Interpretation Forum (NTIF AB), the EUATC’s Spanish member ASPROSET, Asociación Sectorial de Proveedores de Servicios de Traducción and the EUATC’s strategic partner, Women in Localization.
In fact, the inaugural Spring edition of well-established Nordic Translation & Interpretation Forum (NTIF AB) will be using the Summit as its launch pad with Anne-Marie Colliander Lind working with local partners to fashion a session of the Summit.
Other innovations include a Spark Stage – a dynamic, TEDx-style platform where voices from all corners of the industry will come together to reimagine what’s next for translation, interpretation, and related fields.
It’ll be the setting for a series of quick fire 5 minute presentations on topics that matter to individuals whether they are seasoned professionals or new to the industry. The Spark Stage at the Summit has been designed to give a platform to air unique perspectives or set out ideas and lay bare the challenges facing the sector for the NextGen language industry and, of course, lively debate is expect and encouraged from an engaged audience.
The call for papers has been set for close of business on Thursday, 20th March. The content committee will decide by 30th March which submissions have been accepted.
Apart from the Spark Stage, the plenary sessions will have leading industry and non-language industry presenters to send delegates away inspired to deal with the challenges presented by the fast-changing dynamics of the sector.
