Meet Central Europe returns to an in-person event

Meet Central Europe, the conference created by four members of the EUATC in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, will be a physical event this year.

The conference will take place in Šamorín not far from the Slovakian capital of Bratislava from Wednesday, 12th October till Friday, 14th October.

Speaking about the call for papers, chair of the content committee Trisha Kovacic-Young (pictured) said:

“As at past MCE conferences, the theme of the 2022 Meet Central Europe Conference is inspiring talent management.

“However, we know it is hard to be thinking now about preparing a presentation to be delivered in October while we are witnessing a humanitarian crisis in the centre of Europe. Acknowledging the realities created by the war in Ukrainian we have added topics that reflect the situation and how it is impacting the language industry.”

The deadline to submit paper proposals is midnight CET on Sunday, 31st May.

The event will feature a Jobs Fair bringing together LSCs and freelance talent, as well as tool demonstrations and a full social networking programme.

With a track record of attracting a high level of key decision-makers, Meet Central Europe is offering a wide variety of sponsorship opportunities for suppliers to the sector.

The founders of Meet Central Europe are Austrian Association of Translation Companies (AATC), Association of Czech Translation Agencies (ACTA), Association of Professional Language Service Providers (Proford) and Association of Translation Companies of Slovakia (ATC SK).
