TWO WEEKS LEFT TO TAKE PART IN 2019 LANGUAGE INDUSTRY SURVEY

There are just two weeks left to take part in the seventh Language Industry Survey, an EUATC initiative conducted in collaboration with the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA), Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs (FIT), the European Language Industry Association (Elia), European Masters in Translation (EMT) and the European Commission's Language Industry Platform (LIND-Web). The deadline to participate in the survey is Friday, 15th February.

Rudy Tirry, the EUATC's board member leading on market studies said:

"As before, the objective of this survey is to probe the state of the industry by gathering trends and expectations, but also concerns and opinions that can help explain or even predict current and future developments. This survey therefore does not replace but complements the various national and international surveys that gather factual information about our industry.

"Based on the valuable feedback that we received on previous editions, the 2019 edition has been further improved. The section on technology has been reworked to provide more actionable insight and we included a new section covering the relationship between translation companies and individual language professionals. Finally, a few additional questions in the profile and business sections will help us to refine our analysis of the results."

As previously all responses are anonymous and no personal details are requested or stored. The results will be presented at the EUATC's annual conference, T-UPDATE, taking place in Tallinn 25/26 April. They will also be presented at various national and international events of the collaborating partners.
