In September he participated in the International Conference of EU’s Erasmus+ eTransFair project organised by the Centre of Modern Languages (BME) of the University of Technology and Economics of Budapest, where he presented the last intellectual outputs of the project. This included the specialised translation training e-modules, that deal with assessment techniques and translation revision. He also moderated a lively panel on professional issues.
Last month the hard working ASPROSET President held a professional advice session with the Translation students at Soria Campus of University of Valladolid, in which he provided information on subjects such as professional profiles, MT, post-editing, AI applied to translation industry, business processes and other topics.
Finally, representing both the Spanish association of translation and his own company Hermes Traducciones, Juan José Arevalillo was invited to the presentation of the new Style Guide of Spanish Language by the Royal Academy of Spanish Language (RAE) at the end of last month.
Speaking to T-UPDATE Juan José Arevalillo said: "This guide will be a significant reference for Spanish-speaking professionals in language industry and I was honoured to have been invited to its launch."
