A new board has been elected at the Autumn General Meeting of the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC).

Heike Leinhauser, President of the German national association, QSD, will succeed Rudy Tirry, as President. Tirry, who is the President of the Bellgian national association BQTA was re-elected and remains on the board. The new Vice-President is to be Miklos Ban, President of the Hungarian national association, ProfordRadka Vegrichtova, President of the Czechia national association ACTA was elected to serve as the EUATC's treasurer. She succeeds Catherine Granell, the French national association CNET's EUATC representative.

Others elected to serve on the board were Marta Aragao, who is the APET EUATC representative for the Portugese national association and Michal Kmet, the President of ATC-SK, the Slovakian national association.

The new board will formally take up their responsibilities at the beginning of January 2019.

Speaking about her election as the next President Heike Leinhauser said: "It is an incredible honour to have been elected to take on this responsibility. It is fortunate that I and the rest of the new board will be able to build on great foundations.  We will be seeking to make the EUATC even more relevant and also to expand our membership base so we can truly claim to be the voice of the European company language association sector."
