The ATC, the world’s longest established association representing the interests of language service companies, appointed a new external specialist provider to manage its secretariat 18 months ago following the retirement of its long serving general secretary, Geoffrey Bowden.
Commenting on the decision to seek a Chief Executive ATC chairman Roy Allkin said:
"The language industry is dynamic, fast paced, agile and exciting. It's important that the associations and trade bodies that support the industry also embody these key attributes. With this in mind, and in order for the ATC to continue to represent the sector with professionalism and stature we felt it was the right time to recruit a dedicated CEO. Our newly appointed secretariat body is doing a fantastic job administering the association, we now need a top level leader to help drive the association onwards and upwards alongside the excellent and enthusiastic National Council members and officers."
