ALL ROADS LEAD TO BUDAPEST

You would have thought that, when four of the EUATC's national association members get together, sacrifice their own events in order to create a single brand new language industry conference, that would be a good enough reason to be heading for Meet Central Europe (MCE) taking place in Budapest, October 30/31.

Collaboration is the name of the game

The members of theEUATC who have joined forces to createMeet Central Europe, are  the Hungary's Association of Professional Language Providers (Proford), the Austrian Association of Translation Companies (AATC), the Association of Czech Translation Agencies (ACTA) and the Association of Translation Companies of Slovakia (ATC SK). The EUATC family affair doesn't end there though. Croatia will be featured as a spotlight country with the Croatian Association of Translation Agencies (CATA) fully signed up to supporting the event, which has also been awarded a development grant from the EUATC.

The location for future MCE conferences will rotate between the countries of the participating national associations.

TTT throws in its lot with MCE

The new regional event has been built on a spirit of collaboration and will incorporate the Translation Technology Terminology conference (TTT), which will be responsible for delivering the technology strand of Meet Central Europe.

GALA comes on board too

The Globalization & Localization Association (GALA), has agreed to come on board and will be developing elements of the programme.

Sponsors strat lining up

Early sponsors to line up to support the event include, SDL, XTRF, SPĚVÁČEK Language Services, Hero Translating, Traductera, Projectex, TextPartner and MultiLingual Magazine, which is the event's media partner. The EUATC is also supporting the event with one of its development grants awarded to members associations for initiatives. To find out more about sponsorship opportunities click HERE.
