Guide to GDPR and Personal Data in Translation now available

The EUATC's Guide to GDPR and Personal Data in Translation is now available.

The Guide was commissioned by the EUATC following a ruling by the European Court of Justice last July that removed the EU/US Privacy Shield. This has potentially opened up Language Service Companies and freelance linguists to legal challenge for unintended GDPR data breaches.

The Guide’s author, Raisa McNab, CEO of the EUATC’s UK member the Association of Translation Companies (ATC) has adopted an approach that will help companies and freelance professionals manage the risks. Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs Europe (FIT Europe) provided input to the development of Guide.

The cost of the Guide is €100, but it is available free-of-charge for all EUATC Network members and at a 50% discount for any member of the EUATC’s global strategic partners. EUATC Network members and members of the EUATC’s Strategic Partners should consult their associations and organisations for the discount code that applies to them.
