German language market study to be unveiled at networking event

A market study looking in-depth into Germany's language industry is to be unveiled at a unique virtual networking event later this month.

The State of the Language Services Industry in Germany 2020 was commissioned by the EUATC member,  Qualitätssprachendienste Deutschlands (QSD) and carried out by leading language industry researcher Konstantin Dranch who will be presenting the results at the unique virtual networking event taking place on Thursday, 17th September between 15:00 and 17:30 CEST.

Speaking ahead the unveiling of the study’s findings QSD President Heike Leinhäuser said: “The research findings could not have come at a more critical stage in the fortunes of both the German and global economies coming to terms with the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. I am certain that the results will prove to be an invaluable benchmarking tool for those operating in the sector and help their decision-making when developing strategies for their businesses in these uncertain times.”

The presentation of the results, based on data provided by more than 100 prominent businesses, will be a focal point for the virtual networking event, which is open to translation buyers, corporate language teams, translation and interpreting company representatives, vendor managers, business owners, technology providers, language professionals, observers, and academia.

The networking will take place on the Remo.co platform, which allows for quick introductions in groups up to 6 people, and 1-on-1 business conversations. The networking will be available both in English and German, depending on the discussion table that you pick. Presentations will be delivered in English. More than 100 companies are expected to take part in networking.
