Dr Juanjo Arevalillo attended the graduation ceremony of the 48th edition of the Master’s Degree in International Business Management of ICEX-CECO and the Menéndez Pelayo International University where regularly lectures and, by popular acclaim of the students, made the guest of honour.
He also represented the sector at the Universidad de Alcalá where he was a round table contributor, whose starting proposition was “Working in translation and interpreting: perspectives, particularities and new technologies”.
Commenting he said: “It was a pleasure to share with students my perceptions of the sector and, in particular, what the technological future is likely to bring to their careers and our profession in general.
“Our industry is changing rapidly and many may feel anxious that the march of technology may threaten career prospects. As other have said, there is no putting the technological genie e into the lamp. The challenge for future generations is to embrace the advance offered by technologies such as AI and look at the opportunities they are opening up.”
