ELIS study speaks your language

Language Service Companies taking part in the new European Language Industry Survey (ELIS) will find that it is available in 16 languages for the first time.

ELIS is now using the EUSurvey tool developed with funding from the European Commission. This generates machine translated versions of the survey questionnaire. The survey strand for Language Service Companies (LSCs) has been post edited by teams from the EUATC’s member associations based in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, the Netherlands,EstoniaFinlandGermanyHungaryItalyLithuaniaPolandPortugalRussiaSlovakia, and Slovenia.

Meanwhile, the post editing of the strand for freelance professionals has been managed by survey partner Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs Europe (FIT Europe) and this will be available in ten languages, other than English, for the first time.

The ELIS survey will be hosted on a dedicated website, which will be launched at the end of next week on Friday, 7th January. The survey portal will close at midnight CET on Monday, 31st January.
