Survey to test impact of COVID-19 on language industry – last few days to take part

The deadline to complete the annex questionnaire to the annual European Language Industry survey, which has been designed to test the impact of COVID-19, is about to end.

The EUATC’s lead board member on the annual survey and President of BQTA, Rudy Tirry said, “When the 2020 Language Industry Survey was closed a few weeks ago, we could not have foreseen that Covid-19 would have such a global and dramatic impact on our private and professional lives.

“As the Language Industry Survey is primarily about expectations and concerns, these may have been severely impacted in this short period of time.

“Therefore we want to know if and how the recent events have changed the sector’s outlook on 2020 and its expectations about the business.”

Tirry has been working closely with colleagues in DGT, Elia, FIT Europe and GALA, EMT and LIND to develop the short questionnaire annex. The deadline to submit responses, all of which will be anonymous and treated with complete confidentiality, is midnight CET on Sunday, 5th April. Click on HERE to access the questionnaire.
