The European Language Industry Survey (ELIS) will be launched on Friday 7th January and will remain open until close of business on Monday 31st January.

Speaking about the 9th edition EUATC research lead Rudy Tirry said: “All language industry stakeholders will be able to express their views on the state and future of the industry. ELIS provides a neutral and anonymous platform for language companies, individual language workers, universities, language departments and language service buyers to share their expectations and concerns, and comment on the hypes and trends that are currently shaping the industry.”
The key results of this industry-wide survey are planned to be presented and discussed at a digital Translating Europe Workshop which it is hoped to take place mid-March.
ELIS is a joint initiative of the international language industry associations EUATC, European Language Industry Association (Elia), the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA), Women in Localization. (WL), FIT Europe, the European Master’s in Translation (EMT) university network and the LIND expert group of the European Commission’s Directorate-General of Translation.
