ELIS EARLY TRENDS: LSCs want to go for growth but not at any cost

As the deadline to participate in the 2022 European Language Industry Survey (ELIS) looms, researchers have shared another early trend from the completed questionnaires. LSCs will be going for growth in 2022.

Three quarters of LSCs responding to the tenth ELIS survey have said that they will be going for growth, however not at any cost. Against a backdrop of mergers and acquisitions, respondents to the survey have said that they are determined to achieve growth but are determined to remain independent while aiming for that objective.

The deadline to participate in the tenth ELIS study is midnight on Monday, 31st January.

Pre-book for the free online results event

Everyone who completes the survey questionnaire can pre-register to attend the online presentation of the results by lead researcher Rudy Tirry. He will be supported by an expert panel drawn from the ELIS partners* providing additional commentary and analysis from their sector’s perspectives. The online event is expected to take place in March (date to be confirmed).

The ELIS survey portal remains open until midnight CET on Monday, 31st January.

*ELIS was originally initiated by European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC) a decade ago and is now a joint initiative by international language industry associations and organizations. Apart from the EUATC, those participating are the European Language Industry Association (Elia), the European Master’s in Translation (EMT), the European Regional Centre of the International Federation of Translators (FIT Europe), the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA), the European Commission’s Language Industry Platform (LIND) and Women in Localization (WiL)
