The results and analysis of the 2026 European Language Industry Survey (ELIS) will be presented as part of the European Commissions Translating Europe Workshop programme. The free-to-attend event takes place on Tuesday, 17th March from 16:00 to 17:30 CET.
Christos Ellinides, Director-General of the Directorate-General for Translation will open the event with an overview and some reflections. ELIS Director of Research Rudy Tirry will drill down into the overall results with EMT‘s Alexandra Krause and FIT Europe’s John O’Shea providing analysis of the results for academia and freelance linguist respectively.
A distinguished panel drawn from the ELIS partners, the EUATC, GALA, Elia and Women in Localization will provide their insights during the Q&A session. They will be joined by two Masters Degree undergraduates who will be commenting from the perspective of the language industry’s next generation.
