The classical model of ‘End client – LSP – Translator’ may still be the most enduring framework in which translations are produced, but it’s certainly not the only one.
Is this structure mutually beneficial for both LSPs and freelancers?
Can it survive the constant drive of LSPs to keep TEP prices down, even by embracing new processes such as MTPE, and the on-going striving for higher rates by freelancers, by moving into the more lucrative market of direct clients?
