European heavyweights to give keynote addresses at London Summit

The European Commission's DGT acting head and the former head of the translation service in the International Criminal Court are to deliver keynote speeches at the ATC-EUATC Ethical Business Summit in London.

The acting head of the European Commission’s Directorate-General Translation, Christos Ellinides is one of two European heavyweights lined up to deliver keynote speeches at the Ethical Business Summit in London on September 21st.

The other is Christl Schraut. A translator by training, she is the former head of the translation service in the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague and the translation division at the European Investment Bank in Luxemburg.

In addition to delivering speeches, both have agreed to support the 2023 Language Industry Awards. Christl Schraut is acting as one of the judges for the Ethical Business Award, while Christos Ellinides will make a presentation to the winner of the EUATC Association Initiative of the Year category for which 11 national LSC associations submitted nominations.
