2024 ELIS survey results to be presented as a TEW

The European Commission has confirmed that the results of the 2024 European Language Industry Survey (ELIS) will be presented as a Translating Europe Workshop (TEW). This will take place on Tuesday, 19th March at 4pm CET.

The 2024 survey portal will open in 1st January and remain open until the end of the month. Everyone who completes the survey will be able to pre-book their place at the TEW.

Christos Ellinides, Acting Director General, Directorate General Translation (pictured right), will open the proceedings before giving way the head of ELIS research, Rudy Tirry.

Other key presenters will be FIT Europe‘s Chair Person John O’Shea and Alexandra Krause representing the European Masters in Translation (EMT) network.

A moderated panel made up of representatives from all ELIS partners, including European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC), which initiated the annual study over a decade ago, but now includes the European Language Industry Association (Elia), the European Master’s in Translation, the European Regional Centre of the International Federation of Translators, the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA), the European Commission’s Language Industry Platform (LIND) and Women in Localization (WiL).
