The EUATC is a key partner for a number of EU institutions – particularly the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) in Brussels.
The EUATC and its EU Ambassador are actively involved in the Language Industry Expert Group LIND which brings together professionals and organisations from across Europe’s language industry to advise the DGT.
The EUATC also plays an active role in the Translating Europe Forum – the 600 strong annual conference hosted by the European Commission in Brussels.
Over the years the EUATC has either actively participated or been consulted on initiatives linked to DGT, Erasmus and the European Commission. Among the most important are:

Apart from EU institutions, the EUATC maintains strong links to a number of European and global language groupings, including Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs (FIT), Globalization & Localization Association (GALA), European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association (EULITA) and Conference Internationals Permanente D’Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interpretes (CUITI).
