There will be three member associations of the EUATC on parade at this event. Miklos Ban, President of Proford (pictured), will be describing how his Hungarian association set about dismantling years of distrust between the freelancer and company sectors of the language business and the establishment of a national agreement between his association and that of the freelance linguists' association. Taking part in the forum will be representatives of the Belgian and Dutch national associations, BQTA and VViN respectively alongside Nederlands Genootschap van Vertalers (NGTV) and the Belgische Kamer van Vertalers en Tolken (CBTI/BKVT), the Dutch and Belgian association of translators and interpreters.
The President of the Belgium Quality Translation Association (BQTA) Rudy Tirry, who is also the President of the EUATC, together with the president of the Belgian Chamber of Translators and Interpreters, Guillaume Deneufbourg, will be exploring how to build stronger relations between companies and the freelance community.
Meet Central Europe is a new language industry event and comes about as a result of the collaboration of four EUATC members: Proford, AATC, ACTA and ATCSK. All information about early-bird booking and sponsorship available HERE.
